It is very important that dead batteries be disposed of properly. Unused batteries improperly thrown away can cause harm, as well as environmental damage.

Community regulations very, but the chemicals used to power your battery are best dealt with appropriately. Your battery should either be returned to WinBook to allow us to dispose of the battery properly, or you should take the battery to a community waste facility.

Follow these steps to have WinBook to dispose of your battery:

1. Call WinBook Customer Service at 800-468-1633 or use the number listed on your "Read Me First" card.
2. A Customer Service representative will assign you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
3. Send the battery to the address given to you by the representative.

If you decide not to send your battery to WinBook, please make sure it is disposed of at proper waste site.
