To attach the Microsoft Natural Keyboard make sure the WinBook is powered down. Locate the PS/2 port on the rear of the WinBook and plug the cable and connector securely into the port. Turn on the WinBook and the Keyboard should respond.

To install the IntelliType software, insert the IntelliType diskette into the floppy drive. For Windows 95 click on the start button then select run. Type a:\setup then click on OK to start the installation. For Windows 3.xx users select file from the program manager menu bar then run from the drop down list. Type a:\setup when prompted for a command line then press the enter key to launch the setup program. Consult the readme.txt file located on the IntelliType diskette for additional information concerning operating system considerations.

The IntelliType software provides enhancements over generic keyboard functions but are designed specifically for the Microsoft Natural Keyboard. If you attach a different keyboard while the IntelliType drivers are loaded all of the keys may not function properly.

To use the Microsoft Natural Keyboard with the WinBook XP and XP5 Docking Station the PS/2-to-5 pin circular DIN AT style adapter supplied with the keyboard.

If you experience problems with the pointing devices in the WinBook FX such as the pointer stopping on the screen or slowing down, you can try going into the IntelliType software, select the mouse tab, then adjust the "Top Speed" setting to a slower setting.
