Almost all trackball problems can be resolved by cleaning the trackball. Simply use a pointed object (a ballpoint pen, paper clip, push pin, etc.) to turn the ring around the ball counter-clockwise, take the ring out and remove the ball. Use hot water only to wash the ball (other solutions, even alcohol, will leave a film on the ball, which impairs its performance.) Use a foam Q-tip and isopropyl alcohol to clean the well that the ball sits in, paying particular attention to cleaning the rollers and ball rest points. Now reassemble the ball, and test.

If this does not solve the problem, then call Technical Support at (800) 468-1225, and we will determine if there is a hardware problem. If there is you will be transferred to Customer service for a Return Authorization number and shipping instructions to get the machine in for repair.
