WARNING This DVD Control Panel applet is for the WinBook XL2 ONLY.  It is VERY important that you do not attempt to change the "Region" setting more than five times.  After the 5th time, the last region you selected cannot be changed.  You will need to reinstall your Windows 98 operating system as well as your DVD software in order to adjust the region setting again.  If you are not sure about using this file, please E-mail WinBook Technical Support for assistance.

Click on the DVDCPL.EXE link at the bottom of this page to download the WinBook XL2 DVD Control Panel applet. Follow the instructions below to extract and install the driver.

Instructions

  1. After downloading the XL2 DVD Control Panel applet (DVDCPL.EXE),  Click on the "Start" button, Click on "Find", and then select the option to "Files or Folders." Type in dvdcpl.exe and click on the "Find Now" button. Once the file is located, double click on the file.  Follow the default path to extract the files to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and then click on the "Unzip" button.
  2. Once all of the file has been extracted, click on the "OK" button.
  3. Restart the computer for the ATI DVD Control Panel applet to appear.
